Shift Schedule: Dayshift (9AM-6PM), must be open for shifting schedule

Work Setup: Onsite during training, the Hybrid After

Position Summary:

  • The job holder will have responsibility of a team manager. in respect of all relevant technical/operational processing activity and direct assistance of underwriting teams wherever required. People management, performance management appraisals, client interaction etc. will be the key deliverables.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor the performance of a team of Claims adjusters and provide timely feedback.

  2. Should have experience in end-to-end claims and experienced in claims adjudication and adjusting.

  3. Conduct employee performance review

  4. Assist with professional development of the team

  5. Set objectives and manage the progression of the team towards these

  6. Coordination with Internal Customers like Underwriting Ops Team, Process Excellence team, etc. and

  7. Streamline and maintain the flow of work

  8. SLA adherence

  9. Preparation and review of reporting packs, Sr. management and stakeholders

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure appropriate performance metrics in place and that these are accurately reported and adhered to.

  2. Identify issues and implement appropriate remedial action including training of new and existing staff

  3. Identify and implement opportunities for streamlining Claims. Activity

  4. Ensure Standard Operating Procedures and User Guides accurately reflect current procedures

  5. Help to facilitate and monitor new activities that are transitioned to the service provider

  6. Assist with the investigation and resolution of any data quality issues that are raised

  7. Assist with the testing and roll out of new IT initiatives

Skills and Competencies:

  1. Effective communication skills

  2. Strong people management skills

  3. Sound knowledge of property and casualty underwriting

  4. Commercial awareness, with a knowledge of the insurance market and external changes which would impact on our business

  5. Problem Solving - Ability to find solutions and guide teams in difficult and complex situations

  6. Decision Making - Ability to come up with logical options to facilitate teams to take a decision

  7. Basic knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance issues

  8. Excellent numeric, analytical and written skills

  9. Effective prioritization and organizational skills

  10. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

  11. Must be a graduate of business-related programs
