The Finance Analyst is responsible for providing accurate financial insights, supporting project costing, monitoring budgets, and preparing detailed financial reports. This role ensures construction projects remain within budget and compliant with financial regulations and helps management make informed financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial statements and prepare reports for various departments as required.
  • Monitor project budgets, actual costs, and cash flow requirements.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Assist in project cost estimation, variance analysis, and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation, and local regulations.
  • Reconcile accounts and verify the accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Serve as the Point of Contact (POC) and liaise with the company's external accountant regarding taxes, BIR filings, and other financial compliance matters.
  • Assist the CFO in BIR audit processes and respond promptly to Letters of Authority (LOA).
  • Coordinate with project managers, procurement teams, and suppliers on financial matters.
  • Recommend cost-saving measures and financial strategies.
  • Perform other accounting, finance, or administrative tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accountancy, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • CPA license or equivalent certification.

  • Additional certifications like CMA (Certified Management Accountant) are a plus.

  • 2–5 years of finance or accounting experience, ideally in the construction or engineering industry.

  • Familiarity with project-based accounting and costing.

  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills must interpret data accurately.

  • Advanced Excel and financial software proficiency, experience with ERPs like SAP, Oracle, or construction accounting software.
  • Deep knowledge of project costing and budget monitoring.
  • Understanding of Philippine taxation, government compliance, and BIR regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and reporting abilities and can explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Integrity, confidentiality and absolute trustworthiness in handling financial data.
