Job Summary:

The Audit Supervisor is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing internal audit activities to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the company's financial and operational processes. The role evaluates internal controls, identifies risks, ensures adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements, and provides recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness across departments.

Key Responsibilities:Audit Planning & Execution

  • Plan, lead, and conduct internal audits of financial, operational, and compliance areas.
  • Develop audit programs, scope, and timelines in accordance with audit objectives.
  • Review financial records, transactions, and supporting documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
  • Identify control gaps, risks, and instances of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.

Supervision & Team Management

  • Supervise and guide audit staff in audit execution and documentation.
  • Review working papers, audit reports, and findings prepared by audit team members.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance support to ensure audit quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate audit schedules and ensure timely completion of audit engagements.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare clear and concise audit reports, including findings, risk assessments, and recommendations.
  • Present audit results to Finance Management and other concerned departments.
  • Monitor and follow up on implementation of agreed corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, regulators, and internal departments as needed.

Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Review and evaluate financial and operational processes to recommend improvements.
  • Support management in strengthening internal controls and fraud prevention measures.
  • Participate in special audits, investigations, and management-requested reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 2–5 years of relevant experience in internal or external auditing, accounting, or finance.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or senior audit role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards, internal controls, and risk assessment.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or CIA is an advantage.
  • Experience in internal audit within retail, trading, or multi-branch operations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and corporate governance practices.
