IT manager is responsible for overseeing our organization's computer systems and digital platforms, balancing technical expertise with strategic business objectives. The scope of work is broad, encompassing daily operations, project management, and long-term strategic planning. Core Work Scope and ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include:

  • Infrastructure Management: Overseeing the operations, backup, and maintenance of all IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, enterprise applications, and networks.
  • Operational Support: Ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and system availability, which includes leading troubleshooting efforts for hardware and software issues.
  • Strategic Planning: Coordinating with department heads and top executives to align technology plans and digital transformation efforts with overall organizational goals.
  • Project Management: Supervising IT projects such as software development, infrastructure rollouts, system upgrades, and new technology implementations.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensuring adherence to cybersecurity protocols, IT policies, and developing disaster recovery plans to protect organizational data and systems.
  • Team Leadership: Managing a team of IT professionals, including support specialists, analysts, and developers, assigning responsibilities and fostering a productive environment.
  • Budget & Vendor Management: Planning and managing the IT budget, as well as coordinating vendor relations for hardware and software procurement.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitoring system performance and implementing measures to improve efficiency and support mobile and remote work environments.
  • Programming Skillset: This is a must to have and able to guide the juniors.

  • Leadership and Communication: Essential for motivating teams, explaining technical information to non-technical stakeholders, and ensuring everyone works toward the same goals.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to efficiently troubleshoot complex systems and data issues is critical for minimizing business disruption.
  • Strategic Thinking: Necessary for evaluating new technologies and implementing scalable, secure systems that meet future business needs.
  • Technical Knowledge: A strong background in computer science principles, network security, and project management methodologies (e.g., SCRUM) is fundamental.
