Responsibilities:

  • Review and audit the overall effectiveness of credit risk management systems, policies, and practices.
  • Ensure that the organization's credit risk assessment procedures are robust and capable of identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks associated with lending activities.
  • Evaluate internal controls in place to monitor and manage credit risk, including transaction reviews, anti-fraud checks, system checks, and approval process.
  • Strong knowledge in credit underwriting, credit scoring, and fraud and risk mitigation procedures.
  • Fraud detection and assessment of borrower's creditworthiness: Review and evaluate the KYC and financial stability of loan applicants by analyzing documents related to income, identity, and credit reports.
  • Familiarization in Credit Scoring: Use internal scoring systems to assess the likelihood of default. Recommends improvement in the scoring algorithm.
  • Make loan approval decisions by considering all risk factors versus the benefit of granting a loan.
  • Escalate high-risk applications: For applicants that fall outside of standard risk criteria or require higher-risk assessment.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Ensure that all loan procedures are made in compliance with rules and regulations such as truth and fair lending, anti-money laundering (AML), and data privacy.
  • Review and update policies: regularly review and update the credit risk policies and procedures to reflect changes in the market, regulatory environment, and organizational strategy.
  • Generate reports: Create regular reports for the section and upper management regarding KPI and overall portfolio performance.
  • Work closely with other teams in the organization to ensure meeting of operational needs.
  • Manage and oversee the process/systems related to acceptance of loan, loan processing, loan disbursements, and data management.

Requirements:

  • Preferably a Bachelor's degree holder, any course
  • 3 years of experience in loan quality audits, credit risk management, loan underwriting, and financial analysis.
  • 1 year of experience in interpreting personal and financial data, identify trends, and make informed decisions based on data.
  • Experience in lending operations in a bank, financial technology end-to-end solutions and credit scoring is a plus.
  • Experience in handling unsecured consumer/retail loans and credit cards is a plus.
  • Can start ASAP.
