Overview:

The internship focuses on process optimization, workflow analysis, maintenance scheduling, and spare parts inventory management improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Analysis: Conduct time and motion studies on routine maintenance tasks (e.g., equipment checks, parts retrieval) to identify bottlenecks and reduce non-value-added activities.
  • Maintenance Planning: Assist in developing and refining the Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule to optimize technician workload and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Inventory Management: Support the optimization of the spare parts warehouse layout and inventory control systems to improve accessibility and accuracy.
  • Workflow Improvement: Map current maintenance request processes and propose more efficient workflows using IE principles.
  • Data Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report on key maintenance performance indicators (KPIs), such as FTFR, PM Utilization, PM Compliance and work order completion rates.

Learning Objectives:

The intern will gain hands-on experience in applying quantitative methods to improve operational efficiency and logistics within a critical industrial maintenance environment.
