POSITION OBJECTIVE

This level acts as an analyst on developing and implementing Business Continuity standards, procedures, and guidelines for multiple platforms and diverse systems environments.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Continuity

  • Evaluate, develop, and implement Business Continuity standards, procedures, and guidelines for multiple platforms and diverse systems environments.
  • Identify available continuity and recovery strategies for the company's operations and technology.
  • Recommend approved and funded strategies that must meet both the recovery time and recovery point objective identified in the Business Impact Analysis (BIA).
  • Develop, review, and maintain a Business Continuity Plan which will enable the company to continue or recover in response to an incident or event.
  • Develop and implement a program to establish and maintain the company's awareness about Business Continuity Management (BCM) and to train employees so that they are prepared to respond during an event.
  • Conduct, facilitate and schedule Business Continuity Exercises, Testing and audit to ensure that plans remain current and relevant.
  • Provide framework to identify, develop, communicate, and exercise a crisis communication plan.

Disaster Recovery

  • Maintenance of Disaster Recovery Patterns
  • Project Engagement to Consume DR Patterns
  • Project Engagement to Execute Pre Go-Live DR Test
  • DR Event Orchestration

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Electronics and Communications Engineering
  • 5+ year's general information technology experience.
  • Crisis Management experience in the areas of managing incidents and general program improvements a plus.
  • Strong analytical ability, problem solving and communication skills working effectively with client, IT management and support, vendors, and consultants.
  • Ability to develop and implement Business Continuity policies, guidelines, and controls.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) including presentation skills and demonstrated ability to present at all organizational levels; includes ability to develop and deliver effective user education sessions.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, engage and influence others, work with a diverse internal and international user community, as well as vendors.
  • Achievement oriented with proven project management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills – able to see the big picture to drive efficiency and develop new strategies.
  • Professional certification desired (CBCP, MBCP, BCCS, BCCE).
