Job Description

As a Staff Accountant, you will manage general ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and intercompany accounts. You'll assist with monthly closings, prepare journal entries, and support the budget & forecast process. Additionally, you'll contribute to process improvements and work on ad-hoc finance projects while ensuring efficient communication with internal teams.

Shift: Night Shift, Mon - Fri, 10:00 PM to 07:00 AM, Weekends Off

Salary: PHP 60,000 to PHP 80,000

The Qualifications We Seek:

Must-Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in general accounting.
• Background in manufacturing/packaging operations.
• Experience using Oracle or SAP.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, including functions like pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Strong data management skills.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and accounting functions.
• Ability to perform professional-level accounting work in a manufacturing/packaging environment.

Specifics for the Two Accountant Roles:

Asset Management:

• Extensive experience in asset management, with expertise in asset module maintenance (Oracle preferred).
• Skilled in capturing and planning depreciation, including asset useful life classifications and placement in service dates.
• Familiar with setting up asset tagging and tracking processes.
• Experience with ASC842 lease accounting standards treatment (Trullion software is a plus).

Banking Experience:

• Extensive experience in banking, including bank reconciliations, cash application, cash management, and banking transaction coding.

Your Daily Tasks

• Perform general ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations, intercompany account management, and cash management.
• Prepare and book adjusting and banking-related journal entries as monthly.
• Handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide suggestions to management and supervisors on ways to improve efficiencies in daily processing and reporting.
• Assist with monthly closings and maintain accounting files.
• Assist with ad-hoc finance projects.
• Support the budget and forecast process.
• Demonstrate excellent computer and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Multi-task effectively and work independently.
• Communicate effectively with a range of internal stakeholders.
• Interface with Treasury to maintain a daily cash flow statement, capturing cash receipts, vendor payments, and capital payments.
• Provide weekly updates to two levels of leadership regarding cash position, borrowing ability, and overall unlevered free cash flow.
