The Biomedical Equipment Technician is responsible for the repair, calibration/ verification and preventive maintenance of medical equipment. Ensures proper functioning of all medical equipment in the hospital at all time.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and calibration/verification of medical equipment.
  • Provide technical support to hospital staff regarding equipment operation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Inspects all biomedical equipments at critical areas and other special section or department.
  • Initiates and carry out statutory requirements of all biomedical Equipments.
  • Maintain updated records of history repairs, Medical equipment inventory and Preventive maintenance/ Calibration records.
  • Install, repair and inspect/check acquired medical equipment and provide equipment disposal assessment.
  • Submits daily accomplishment report and do updating on status of Preventive maintenance/ Calibration schedule.
  • Participate in the Quality Improvement Activities of the department.
  • Participates in the CSR Activities of the Hospital.
  • Participates and supports all Hospital efforts and initiatives to ensure patient safety and meet patient safety standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
