Service Engineer

• Job Summary Biomedical Engineer's main duties are to inspect, maintain, repair, calibrate and install this medical equipment. they disassemble equipment to locate malfunction components, repair or replace defective parts, and reassemble the equipment, adjusting and calibrating it to ensure that it operates according to manufacturer's specification. Other duties of biomed engineer includes modifying equipment manufacturer for necessary equipment repair, and safety-testing equipment to ensure that patient, equipment operators and other staff members are safe from electrical or mechanical hazards. Biomedical engineer works with hand tools, power tools, measuring device, and manufacturer manuals.

• Repairs, calibrates, and maintains medical equipment and instrumentation used in health-care delivery field: Inspects and installs medical and related technical equipment in medical and research facilities for use by physicians, nurses, scientists, or engineers involved in researching, monitoring, diagnosing, and treating physical ailments or dysfunctions.
• Services various equipment and apparatus, such as patient monitors, electrocardiographs, blood-gas analyzers, x-ray units, defibrillators, electrosurgical units, anesthesia apparatus, pacemakers, blood-pressure transducers, spirometers, sterilizers, and all other medical equipment.
• Repairs, calibrates, and maintains equipment, using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and knowledge of manufacturers' manuals, troubleshooting techniques, and preventive-maintenance schedules.

· Safety-tests medical equipment and health-care facility's structural environment to ensure patient and staff safety from electrical or mechanical hazards · Conducts Product and Technical demonstration to the technical service team of the hospital. · Provides consistent, on-time delivery of complete and properly functioning equipment to customers · Performs scheduled preventive maintenance services to all hospitals with equipment installations. · Coordinates and assists the Sales and Marketing team in the conduct of product demos · Coordinates with supervising personnel in order to address questions, problems, and requests related to biomedical services · Provides the customers a complete and accurate Service Report done for their equipment immediately after the service is done · Submits weekly monitoring of all services conducted in the area to the Head Service Engineer with attached Service Report · Performs other tasks assigned by the immediate superior Attributes · Knowledge in electrical engineering · Job Task Planning and Organizing · Team Player and Building Positive Working Environment · Ability to delegate · Ability to Manage Time and Resources · Ability to Work Under Pressure · Willingness to extend working hours · Microsoft Office and Computer Use · Good knowledge of the operation repair and safety considerations of biomedical equipment and instrumentation · Good knowledge of the operational aspects and environment of biomedical equipment as it relates to the treatment of patients. · Working knowledge of governmental code requirements and manufacturer specifications; ability to determine the cause of operational malfunctions of biomedical equipment and make necessary repairs · Ability to communicate and work well with others; ability to carry out instructions; ability to effectively use computer applications such as, word processing, calendar, e-mail and database software in performing work assignments.

Experience & Knowledge

• Bachelor's Degree in electronics, electrical, mechanical or Biomedical technician in house 1 to 2 years experienced where the primary function of the position was the repair and preventive maintenance of biomedical equipment
• Preferably 1 to 2 years work experience as biomedical field service engineer
• Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.
• Fresh graduate will be evaluated by the management accordingly.

Pay: Php19, Php20,000.00 per month
