  • Key Responsibilities:

· Bookkeeping and General Ledger Maintenance: Recording financial transactions, classifying them in the general ledger, and ensuring all data is accurate and complete.

· Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconciling bank statements, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR) to identify and resolve discrepancies.

· Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets and profit & loss statements, for management review.

· Payroll and Tax Preparation: Supporting payroll processing, and assisting with the preparation of tax documents and returns to ensure compliance with tax laws.

· Audits: Preparing and maintaining documentation for internal and external audits.

· Budgeting: Contributing to the development and analysis of budgets and expense reports.

Required Qualifications:

· Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is typically a must.

· Knowledge of Accounting Principles: A solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is crucial.

· Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and a strong command of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, are essential for data analysis and reporting.

· Experience: While this is often an entry-level position, some roles may require one to three years of previous experience in an accounting or finance-related role.

· Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to analyze financial data, identify issues, and propose solutions is highly valued.
