What You'll Do

  • Answer high-volume inbound calls with empathy and professionalism.
  • Manage follow-ups across platforms.
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using EHR and scheduling systems.
  • Accurately collect and update patient demographics, Medicare/insurance details, and billing information.
  • Coordinate referrals, specialist bookings, and patient follow-ups.
  • Provide first-line support for billing and insurance queries.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and accuracy in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Ensure smooth communication between patients, providers, and third-party services.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while resolving patient concerns with care and confidence.

What We're Looking For:

  • Welcome and assist patients virtually, ensuring smooth check-ins
  • Process Medicare claims accurately
  • Maintain updated digital records and manage provider communications
  • Handle appointment bookings, confirmations, cancellations, and rescheduling
  • Respond to patient inquiries or escalate to clinical teams as needed
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal form
  • Adhere to Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and confidentiality protocols
  • Follow clinic guidelines on OH&S and infection control

Required Skills & Experience

  • BPO or call center background, preferably in healthcare or customer service
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills with English-speaking clients (Australian accent experience is a plus)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical coding
  • Proficiency with EHR systems, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and scheduling tools
