Professional Practice Assistant Manager – Audit

About the role:

Support the firm's professional practice function: track standard updates, convert guidance into usable tools, handle complex consultations, perform FSQCRs, and help deliver training to raise audit quality across engagement teams.

Key Responsibilities

Advisory & Guidance

  • Monitor developments in auditing/assurance standards and global methodologies.
  • Draft and roll out local guidance, templates, memos/alerts; ensure proper drafting/review process is followed.
  • Review materials prior to release from Professional Practice.

Consultation

  • Handle complex technical queries on audit/assurance and related services.
  • Review drafts and coach team members on their consultations.
  • Perform Financial Statements Quality Control Reviews (FSQCR) for presentation/disclosure compliance and auditors' report requirements.

Training

  • Facilitate trainings on standards and practice guidance.
  • Localize/adapt international training materials; develop local content with L&D.
  • Oversee delivery quality of sessions handled by subordinates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • 4+ years cumulative experience in one or more:
  • Manager role in public audit, or
  • Senior technical role (audit quality, audit support, audit risk management).
  • Proven experience preparing formal internal/external technical communications (including ISA/PSA-related content).
  • Solid project management, stakeholder coordination, and technical writing skills.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on FSQCR/internal inspection experience.
  • Methodology/tooling rollout and training design experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php45, Php52,000.00 per month
