As we continue to expand, we are looking for a driven Modern Trade Sales Representative to join our team. This role will focus on driving sales and managing relationships within modern trade outlets, ensuring our products are well-represented across key retail channels such as tire outlets, supermarkets, hypermarkets, and large-format stores.
Job Overview:
The Modern Trade Sales Representative will be responsible for achieving sales targets, enhancing product visibility, and managing relationships with retail partners in the modern trade sector. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, customer-focused, and knowledgeable about automotive products, particularly tires and car accessories.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Account Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at modern trade retailers (e.g., automotive accessory shops, supermarkets, and hypermarkets).
- Drive sales growth by promoting and selling Team Ridemax's tire and car accessory products, ensuring product availability, visibility, and brand representation.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to revenue growth within the modern trade channel.
Merchandising & Product Visibility:
- Ensure optimal product placement, shelf space, and visibility in retail outlets to maximize consumer awareness and sales.
- Collaborate with retailers to execute in-store displays, point-of-sale materials, and promotional setups to drive consumer interest.
- Monitor store compliance with merchandising standards and assist with store audits and improvements.
Promotions & Marketing Execution:
- Work closely with the marketing team to execute in-store promotions, seasonal campaigns, and new product launches.
- Ensure effective implementation of promotional strategies and track performance to gauge impact on sales.
- Provide feedback and insights from customers and retail partners on promotional activities.
Stock & Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels in retail stores and coordinate with the supply chain to ensure consistent availability of products.
- Assist in placing orders and managing inventory for modern trade accounts based on sales forecasts and retail needs.
- Address stockouts, slow-moving inventory, and stock replenishment to ensure smooth sales operations.
Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis:
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior in the automotive industry.
- Identify emerging opportunities for product placement and sales growth within the modern trade channel.
- Report on competitive strategies, market conditions, and customer feedback to inform business decisions.
Customer Service & Relationship Building:
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues related to products, deliveries, or promotions.
- Build long-term relationships with retail partners, ensuring they receive exceptional service and support.
- Ensure customers' needs are met promptly and professionally, fostering loyalty and repeat business.
Reporting & Administrative Duties:
- Keep accurate records of sales activities, store visits, promotions, and inventory levels.
- Submit regular sales reports, including sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback, to the National Sales Manager.
- Track progress against sales targets and KPIs to ensure accountability and performance.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-3 years of sales experience, preferably in the FMCG, modern trade, or retail sales.
- Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability to drive sales and meet/exceed targets.
- Negotiation & Communication Skills: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with retail partners, internal teams, and customers.
- Merchandising Experience: Knowledge of in-store merchandising and product displays.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
