We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Engineer specializing in payments integration to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and secure backend systems for payment processing, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Integrate with diverse payment gateways and third-party financial systems, including online checkout via IFRAME and Instant Payment Notification (Push API).
  • Implement and manage APIs for seamless transaction processing, including real-time payment notifications and status inquiries.
  • Ensure the secure handling of sensitive payment information through the implementation of industry-leading encryption and hashing techniques, such as SHA256 HMAC hash.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and QA engineers, to deliver end-to-end payment solutions.
  • Proactively identify and resolve complex technical issues related to payment processing, reconciliation, and integrations.
  • Stay at the forefront of payment industry trends, emerging technologies, and security best practices to drive continuous improvement.
  • Leverage CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and infrastructure provisioning, fostering a culture of rapid iteration and reliability.
  • Utilize advanced monitoring and logging tools to proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks and ensure the operational health of payment systems.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Backend Engineer with a strong track record in payments integration within a high-volume transactional environment.
  • Deep expertise in consuming external APIs and managing data flow for online checkout processes via IFRAME and instant payment notifications (Push API).
  • Solid understanding of API design principles (RESTful, GraphQL) and hands-on experience in building and consuming secure APIs.
  • Strong grasp of security best practices in payment processing, including PCI DSS compliance considerations and data encryption standards.
  • Proficient with version control systems (Git) and experienced in collaborative development workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) for scalable deployments.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment and contribute effectively as an individual contributor and team player.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
