About the Role

The Senior Backend Engineer will be the backbone of our development efforts, implementing core components of our software solutions. This role is significant to the company as it underpins the success of our Bid Management Suite and its seamless integration with the CMiC ERP system. The engineers will be responsible for building, optimizing, and scaling backend services that are reliable and maintainable.

What you will be doing

  • Developing and maintaining backend microservices using NodeJS.

  • Building and enhancing REST APIs for seamless communication between services.

  • Utilizing Docker and Kubernetes to manage and deploy scalable applications.

  • Working with SQL databases (Postgres/MySQL) and integrating with Firestore.

  • Implementing bidirectional integrations with our CMiC ERP system.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align business objectives with technical deliverables.

Required Qualifications

  • Expert in NodeJS and REST API development.

  • Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Proficient in working with SQL databases (Postgres/MySQL).

  • Familiarity with ERP system integrations.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Firestore and other NoSQL databases.

  • Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP.

  • Any relevant certifications in software development or cloud services are advantageous.

  • Prior experience in tech project management or in a tech-centric managed services environment.
