Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software and hardware.
  • Respond to technical queries either in person or over the phone.
  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
  • Perform Installation as well as testing of procured hardware plus software. Installation and configuration of system software like Operating system and drivers, System patches and updates.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot network, software and hardware problems, and resolve or replace defective components.
  • Assist with onboarding of new users.
  • Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
  • Audit IT inventory and purchases by coordinating with external and internal teams.
  • Two years of experience within the same position is highly desired
  • Deep knowledge of operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring tools
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information

Work Experience

For Non-Entry Level

  • At least 2 years work experience working in 24 X 7 IT infrastructure & Operations environment.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in Infrastructure / Applications monitoring and support.
  • Proven track record with cable plant methodologies, Desktop relocations and support desk services.
  • Day-to-day maintenance of network Infrastructure, switches and cable modems.

For Non-Entry Level

  • Degree in Computer Science or any equivalent.
  • Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply.

Competencies

  • Shifting, weekend, and on-call work may be required, particularly where computing equipment is in continual 24-hour operation.
  • Must possess a considerable knowledge (for non-entry level) of computer network characteristics, network operating system software, and network components (i.e.: network servers, switches, hubs, routers, bridges, cabling, etc.).
  • Must possess excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose/resolve network system problems.
  • Knowledge in ITIL Foundation is a plus.
  • Fluent in English both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
