Job Description

Leasing Assistant is property management professionals who provide administrative support to property managers. They interact with both landlords and tenants, coordinate lease agreements, schedule property tours, and maintain lease records. This position is directly reported to the Leasing Director. The job is basically a supervisory function which includes:

Roles and Responsibilities

· Respond to all leasing inquiries, track leasing leads, and prepare leasing status reports.

· Maintain stats on square footage and vacancy reports.

· Identify and contact potential tenants for vacant spaces.

· Assist in and negotiate letters of intent and preparation of formal lease documentation as well as renewals.

· Maintain and develop strong relationships with new and existing tenants and brokers.

· Assist with due diligence on acquisitions.

· Well versed on residential rental property act, tenant, and landlord responsibilities.

· Maintain a knowledge of existing leases and advise operations teams on specific leases.

Abilities and Attributes

· Ability to handle daily responsibilities and projects with minimal direction

· Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

· Must be pro-active in identifying and proposing solutions with the ability to exercise sound judgment in all matters.

· Excellent communication skills, written and oral.

· Must be accurate and highly detail-oriented with follow-through skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively with different levels of management and government agencies. Proven ability to conduct research, coordinate multiple projects, solve problems, prepare/update supporting documentation and maintain records.

· Ability to work under pressure and successfully meet deadlines.

· Flexible, creative and well organized
