IV. JOB SUMMARY

An Area Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of sales representatives, developing and executing sales strategies, and achieving sales targets within a specific geographic area. They build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, manage distributor networks, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. This role also involves market analysis, product training, and reporting on sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue growth and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Team Management: Manage and motivate a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and key decision-makers.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and provide regular sales reports to senior management.
  • Distributor Management: Oversee and support the sub-dealer network, ensuring effective market development activities and training.
  • Customer Service: Handle customer complaints and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve customer issues and challenges.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and competitor activity.

VI. JOB SPECIFICATION

EDUCATION : Graduate of any 4-year allied medical courses

WORK EXPERIENCE : At least 3 years of experience as Sales Supervisor or Manager within the Medical Device Industry.

KEY COMPETENCIES :

  • Proven track record of hitting sales quota year by year.
  • Has extensive experience in dealing with both Government and Private Hospitals
  • Has Product knowledge of medical devices, their features, benefits, and applications.
  • Ability to identify and resolve customer issues and operational challenges.
  • Good Management skills
  • Good Oral and Written Communication skills.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory/area.
