The F&B Finance Manager / General Accountant is a key strategic and operational role responsible for leading all financial reporting, P&L management, cost accounting, and general accounting functions across the company's F&B brands and operating units. This role plays a central part in ensuring the integrity of financial data, enabling insightful financial analysis, and supporting decision-making through timely and accurate financial information. The role also provides support for audits, tax compliance, and financial planning for growth and expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Consolidation

  • Lead in the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, management reports, and consolidated group-level financial summaries.
  • Prepare, analyze, and monitor monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) reports per store, per brand, and per business unit, identifying key variances, trends, and operational insights.
  • Track and reconcile intercompany transactions across multiple legal entities within the group.
  • Monitor and validate actual expenditures versus budget forecasts, escalating material discrepancies to Management.

General Accounting and Reconciliation

  • Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, operating expenses, and bank activities.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger balances and prepare monthly reconciliation schedules for all balance sheet accounts.
  • Facilitate timely recording and processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and employee reimbursements.
  • Maintain organized documentation and filing of all accounting records, vouchers, receipts, and supporting schedules.

Cost Accounting and Operational Finance

  • Support store-level cost accounting and inventory movement analysis in collaboration with Operations and Supply Chain teams.
  • Monitor cost of sales and product margins, ensuring accuracy of recipe costing and inventory valuations.
  • Assist in the preparation of feasibility studies, financial modeling, and financial due diligence for new store openings, brand launches, and closures.

Regulatory Compliance and Audit

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of BIR-required filings and reports (e.g., VAT, EWT, 2550M/Q, 1601-E/Q, 1702, 2316, etc.).
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and internal stakeholders for audit, tax, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Support payroll-related accounting functions, including government contributions and reconciliations as required.

Decision Support and Analysis

  • Provide financial analysis, dashboards, and management reports that support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Partner with department heads and store managers to improve cost efficiency and ensure financial performance is aligned with business goals.

Other Duties

  • Assist in systems migration, process improvements, and automation of accounting and finance workflows.
  • Perform such other accounting- or finance-related tasks as may be assigned by the Company from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in F&B, hospitality, or retail finance/accounting.
  • Strong technical knowledge in general accounting, P&L management, costing, and taxation.
  • Proficient in accounting systems and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero), MS Excel, and POS/inventory systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work cross-functionally.
  • Experience managing multi-entity accounting is an advantage.
