Job Description

The Logistics Assistant with Dispatching is responsible for supporting the logistics and supply chain operations, particularly in scheduling, monitoring, and dispatching deliveries. The role ensures efficient coordination between the warehouse, drivers, and customers to guarantee timely and accurate movement of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and scheduling deliveries based on orders and priorities.
  • Prepare and issue dispatch documents such as trip tickets, delivery receipts, and load manifests.
  • Coordinate with drivers, delivery helpers, and warehouse staff regarding dispatch schedules.
  • Monitor real-time status of deliveries and provide updates to customers and management.
  • Record and update dispatch logs, delivery reports, and related documents.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of delivery transactions.
  • Assist in inventory control, warehouse coordination, and logistics reporting.
  • Handle inquiries and resolve basic issues related to delivery and dispatching.
  • Perform other related administrative and logistics tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related course (college level acceptable with relevant experience).
  • With or without experience (experience in logistics, dispatching, or warehousing is an advantage).
  • Knowledge of delivery scheduling, routing, and dispatching is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel); knowledge of logistics/dispatch systems is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and time-management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to work flexible schedules if needed.
