Job Summary

The Assistant Plant Manager – Feedmill supports the Plant Manager in overseeing all feedmill operations to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality feed production. This role includes supervising production and maintenance teams, monitoring workflow, implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Assistant Plant Manager plays a key role in maintaining operational excellence and meeting production targets.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agriculture, or related course
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in feedmill operations, production management, or industrial plant supervision
  • Strong knowledge of feedmill production processes, machinery, and equipment
  • Leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff
  • Proficient in problem-solving, process optimization, and operational planning
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Plant Manager in supervising daily feedmill operations and production teams
  • Monitor production workflow, machinery performance, and operational efficiency
  • Ensure preventive maintenance and timely repair of feedmill equipment
  • Implement and enforce safety, hygiene, and quality protocols within the plant
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and other departments to optimize production
  • Prepare reports on production output, downtime, and key performance metrics
  • Identify areas for operational improvement and assist in implementing solutions
