Job Role: Automation Specialist (Part-time)

Compensation range: $1,100 AUD - $1,750 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to require roughly 15-20 hours per week. As a contractor, you'll have flexibility in how you manage your schedule, but availability for occasional collaboration during AU business hours is preferred.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. You will be hired directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: A collective of purpose-driven enterprises operating across multiple sectors globally. They utilise as a core automation and orchestration platform to support logistics, CRM, finance, inventory, customer communications and reporting workflows across multiple brands.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to understand, optimise, monitor and maintain our automation environment. The successful candidate will document existing scenarios, improve reliability, implement best practices, and create new integrations based on approved business requirements.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Audit and document existing scenarios and data flows.
  • Optimise scenarios for performance, efficiency, error handling and maintainability.
  • Monitor scenario execution, queue usage and error logs.
  • Troubleshoot failures and implement long-term fixes.
  • Create new scenarios based on business automation requests.
  • Build reusable modules, sub-scenarios and standardised components.
  • Implement naming conventions, versioning and scenario lifecycle management.
  • Manage connection authorisations and platform access permissions.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce Administrator and system stakeholders.
  • Prepare reporting and dashboards for automation KPIs.
Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience with (minimum 1–2 years).
  • Ability to read, trace and troubleshoot multi-step scenarios.
  • Understanding of error handling, scheduling, iterators, routers and mapping.
  • Experience with webhooks, JSON payloads and API authentication.
  • Basic familiarity with data stores and array manipulation

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Salesforce, Cin7/DEAR, Xero, HubSpot or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, tokens, OAuth and webhook configuration.
  • Basic coding familiarity (JavaScript, Python or similar).
  • Understanding of automation QA testing.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation habits.
  • Problem solving mindset and proactive improvement approach.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor.
