Job Description:
We are in search of a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Administrative Officer to support our procurement process for bakery goods manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or administrative roles, with a preference for candidates with experience in the food industry, particularly bakery goods. The Purchasing Administrative Officer will play a crucial role in assisting with sourcing suppliers, managing contracts, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring smooth communication within the purchasing department.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with sourcing and evaluating suppliers of raw materials and packaging materials for bakery goods production.
- Provide administrative support for contract negotiation and management, including maintaining records and documentation.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and assist with inventory management tasks.
- Collaborate with the production team and other departments to facilitate effective communication and workflow.
- Prepare and analyze reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the purchasing function.
- Handle other administrative tasks as required to support the purchasing department and overall business operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing or administrative roles, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with purchasing software is desirable.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards is a plus.
