About the Role

The Manager for Operations and Finance plays a critical role in ensuring AHA Behavioral Design's internal operations are smooth, compliant, and efficient. This role oversees Finance, Accounting, Audit, and Legal (FAAL), as well as core operations such as procurement, HR workflows, and supplier coordination.

You will work closely with unit heads and the executive team, ensuring backend support is aligned with company goals and that systems run seamlessly across projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Finance & Compliance

  • Supervise FAAL team in budgeting, accounting, audit, and compliance.

  • Oversee financial reporting systems and ensure accurate, timely reports.
  • Ensure tax, regulatory, and legal compliance with external partners.
  • Review and refine financial and operational policies.

  • Operations & Procurement

  • Oversee procurement, office supplies, asset management, and vendor relationships.

  • Ensure timely, cost-efficient, and compliant delivery of services and goods.
  • Standardize and improve backend operations processes across projects.
  • Monitor service delivery processes and ensure policies and SLAs are upheld.

  • Internal Systems & Coordination

  • Establish operational cadences for planning, budgeting, and reporting.

  • Identify and address bottlenecks in backend systems affecting project delivery.
  • Support rollout of new tools and policies that improve efficiency and transparency.

  • Team Leadership

  • Manage and coach FAAL and operations staff.

  • Build capacity of junior team members and institutionalize key workflows.
  • Foster a culture of service, compliance, and collaboration across units.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
  • 4–6 years of progressive experience in operations, finance, or administrative management (preferably in NGOs, consulting, or social enterprises).
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and working closely with leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of finance systems, budgeting, procurement, and operations management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, ERP systems (e.g., Netsuite) or willingness to learn.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
