As the Chief Finance Officer (CFO), you will play a pivotal role in our organization's financial strategy and management. Reporting directly to the CEO, and collaborating closely with senior leadership, you will lead financial planning, analysis, reporting, and governance initiatives to drive operational excellence and financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Governance and Management Reporting: Serve as the key member of the Management Committee, guaranteeing accurate and timely financial reporting while actively participating in the organization's financial strategy.

  • Financial Analysis and Performance: Provide meaningful financial analysis to Management and the Board, offer insights and implement recommendations for improvement in financial performance, analyze budget variances, and develop corrective action plans. Maximize financial value by providing analysis, recommendations, and strategies to achieve revenue and cost-saving goals.
  • Enterprise Management: Contribute to overall management by providing financial insights, managing risk, overseeing treasury functions, and participating in strategic planning.
  • Financial Policies: Review and implement financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and efficient execution across departments.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with revenue regulations, tax compliance, and act as a liaison with regulatory bodies.
  • Financial Management: Manage investments, and other funds, employee benefits, cash flows, funding sources, financial sustainability, liquidity, and relationships with banks/financial institutions.
  • Financial Risk Management: Identify, assess, treat, and monitor financial risks, develop Risk Management Plans, oversee risk financing strategies.
  • Accounting Systems and Technology: Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, assess technology adoption, design internal control systems, maintain accounting information systems.
  • Organizational Culture and capacity building: Foster a culture of financial literacy, risk management, and compliance with internal policies throughout the organization.
  • Department Administration: Oversee talent management, team performance, budget planning, risk management, and internal communications within the Finance department and cluster.

Key Requirements:

A holder of a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a requirement

  • Proven experience as a CFO or similar role in the microfinance or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis, regulations, risk management and compliance.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and planning tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
