The Wholesale Supervisor is responsible for overseeing wholesale operations within the supermarket, ensuring smooth order processing, accurate inventory management, and exceptional customer service for bulk/wholesale clients. This role supervises the wholesale team, coordinates with suppliers and logistics, and drives sales growth through effective relationship management and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Wholesale Operations Management
- Supervise daily wholesale department activities including order processing, invoicing, packing, and delivery coordination.
- Ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of wholesale customer orders.
- Maintain product availability and monitor stock levels for wholesale items.
- Coordinate with the procurement and warehouse teams to ensure product replenishment.
2. Sales & Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale and institutional clients.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
- Identify new business opportunities and assist in expanding the wholesale customer base.
- Support the Wholesale Manager in implementing pricing strategies and promotions.
3. Team Supervision & Training
- Supervise and motivate wholesale sales and warehouse staff.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor performance to ensure operational targets are met.
- Conduct regular team meetings and provide training on products, systems, and customer service.
4. Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare daily/weekly sales and inventory reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and local regulations.
- Monitor credit sales and coordinate with accounts for timely payment collection.
5. Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with logistics, warehouse, and procurement departments to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
- Work closely with management to forecast sales trends and plan stock accordingly.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience in wholesale, retail, or supermarket operations (at least 1 year in a supervisory role).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and retail management/POS software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
