Power Platform Lead Developer

Lead the design, build, and governance of enterprise-grade Microsoft Power Platform solutions. Champion innovation, automation, and AI integration to deliver scalable, secure, and future-ready applications.

This role leads the architecture, development, and evolution of Microsoft Power Platform solutions—spanning Canvas and Model-driven Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, and governed CI/CD pipelines. The position partners closely with product and business stakeholders, translating complex requirements into robust, supportable solutions while mentoring developers and driving technical excellence across the team.

Solution Design and Delivery

• Design and build enterprise-grade solutions using Canvas and Model-driven apps, Dataverse, environment variables, and layered managed solutions.
• Implement a structured ALM approach to release management for Test and Production environments.

Automation and Integration

• Develop Power Automate workflows integrating with third-party services via REST APIs, custom connectors, and standard connectors.
• Implement robust authentication, throttling, and error-handling mechanisms.

AI and Intelligent Automation

• Design and deploy AI Agents within Microsoft Copilot Studio, incorporating conversational flows, orchestrations, and knowledge integrations.
• (Desirable) Apply foundational Azure AI Foundry capabilities, such as model orchestration, data enrichment, and cognitive service integration, to enhance automation outcomes.

Application Lifecycle Management

• Lead CI/CD deployments using Power Platform Pipelines and/or Azure DevOps Build Tools (PAC CLI).
• Enforce solution governance through automated checks and repeatable deployment processes.

Governance and Compliance

• Define environment strategy, DLP policies, and role-based access models aligned with Managed Environments.
• Establish observability and auditing practices across solutions.

Backlog and Requirements Management

• Collaborate with stakeholders to shape epics, user stories, and estimation.
• Support pre-sales and project scoping with technical insights and feasibility assessments.

Quality and Delivery Standards

• Implement code and app review processes, test strategies, and continuous improvement frameworks.
• Drive solution reliability, maintainability, and scalability across the development lifecycle.

Documentation and Knowledge Transfer

• Produce concise technical documentation including architecture diagrams, data models, and runbooks.
• Deliver handover and enablement sessions for support and operations teams.

Coaching and Leadership

• Mentor developers, foster a collaborative culture, and champion best practices in solution architecture and development.
• Lead technical discussions and represent the Power Platform capability within cross-functional teams.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in designing and implementing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Canvas Apps, Model-driven Apps, and Dataverse).
• Proven experience developing Power Automate workflows and integrations with third-party APIs and connectors.
• Experience in building AI Agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio or Power Virtual Agents.
• Hands-on experience with Power Platform Pipelines or Azure DevOps for CI/CD management.
• Strong background in documentation, estimation, and technical leadership.

• Development experience with Power Pages, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, or Microsoft Graph API.
• Foundational understanding of Core Azure Services such as App Service, Azure Key Vault, Azure SQL, and Azure Monitor.
• Exposure to Azure AI Foundry, Cognitive Services, or OpenAI integrations within Power Platform environments.
• Experience with PCF component or plugin development.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery practices.
• Certifications such as PL-400 (Power Platform Developer Associate) and PL-600 (Solution Architect Expert).
