We're currently seeking a sharp and highly motivated Data Analytics Engineer, Power BI/Fabric Focused to join our Technology team.

The Data Analytics Engineer, Power BI/Fabric Focused role at which includes the responsibilities of designing and developing dashboards, data models, and reports; extracting and transforming data; and collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable insights. 

What you'll do:

• Platform Architecture and Scalability: Contribute to the design and implementation of the strategic data architecture (including data lake, warehouse, and BI layer) to ensure scalability, cost-efficiency, and performance.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic
• Data Transformation: Create and optimize ETL processes and data pipelines using tools like Power Query, Azure Data Factory, and Microsoft Fabric
• Data Modelling: Develop scalable normalised and denormalised (dimensional) data models that meet business requirements.
• Stakeholder Communication: Work with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective data solutions and reports.
• Data Integrity and Quality: Ensure the accuracy and quality of data used in reports and dashboards.
• Data Governance and Security: Contribute to data governance standards, security controls, and access policies within the data platform
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for data sources, reports, and processes.

What we're looking for:

Functional Skills

• Data Modelling: Designing and implementing dimensional data models.
• Data Pipeline Development: Proven experience designing and building robust, observable, and scalable data pipelines
• Infrastructure Management: Provisioning of Azure resources specific to data solutions and creation of Infrastructure as Code IaC).
• Data Processing: Ingestion of data into the data lake and reconciliation of data to source systems.
• Best Practices and Engineering: Implementation of best practices and software engineering principles such as DevOps, version control, and release management.

Technical Skills and Tools

• Microsoft BI Stack: Deep expertise in Power BI, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), and Power Query.
• Languages: Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data as well as other relevant languages such as Python (PySpark)
• Data Warehousing & Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake Gen2
• Data Visualization: Understanding of best practices in data visualization to create compelling and easy-to-understand reports.

Soft Skills

• Problem Solving: The ability to understand both business and technical challenges and break these down into their constituent
• Analytical: Ability to analyse complex data and develop effective solutions.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Adaptability: A flexible and solutions-focused mindset to adapt to changing technologies and requirements.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to data accuracy and reporting detail.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience: 2-5 years of proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and developing data pipelines
• Certifications: A Microsoft Power BI certification will be a significant asset as would certifications like Azure Data Fundamentals, Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure, Fabric Data Engineer, and Fabric Analytics Engineer

Work Schedule (Mid-shift)

• Monday to Friday (12PM-9PM; Manila Time)

Work Setup (WFH)

• Permanent Homebased
• Equipment will be provided by the client
• Hired staff is required to have a stable and reliable internet connection with at least 20MBPS for both download AND upload speed.
