Job Summary:

The Sales Manager will oversee the overall operations of the Changan dealership's retail division, ensuring exceptional customer experience, maximizing sales performance, and maintaining operational efficiency. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive profitability, develop high-performing teams, and uphold the brand's standards of excellence in sales and service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. 1. Sales Planning & Strategy

  • Develop and execute monthly and quarterly sales targets for new and used vehicles.
  • Create strategies to hit unit and revenue goals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and promotional activities.
  • Coordinate with marketing for promotions, test drive events, and social media ads.

  • Team Management

  • Supervise Sales Executives / Agents — set daily goals and track performance.

  • Conduct daily sales briefings and monthly evaluations.
  • Train new sales staff in product knowledge, financing options, and sales techniques.
  • Motivate the team to achieve or exceed sales targets through incentives or recognition.

  • Customer Handling

  • Ensure high-quality customer experience from showroom visit to delivery.

  • Personally handle VIP clients, repeat buyers, or escalated complaints.
  • Oversee test drives, showroom walk-ins, and online inquiries.
  • Follow up on pending leads and ensure proper documentation of all prospects.

  • Sales Operations

  • Approve vehicle quotations, discounts, and trade-in values (within authorized limits).

  • Coordinate with Finance, Insurance, and After-Sales for complete transaction flow.
  • Ensure accurate encoding of deals in CRM or DMS system.
  • Check vehicle availability, delivery schedules, and proper unit release.

  • Reporting & Analysis

  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to the GM or Dealer Principal.

  • Track KPIs such as inquiry-to-sale ratio, unit sales per agent, and gross profit.
  • Analyze slow-moving models and recommend stock adjustments or promos.

  • Coordination with Other Departments

  • Work closely with Marketing for campaigns and events.

  • Coordinate with Inventory / Logistics for stock management.
  • Collaborate with After-Sales to encourage repeat customers and referrals.

  • Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure showroom cleanliness, sales professionalism, and adherence to dealership standards.

  • Implement manufacturer programs and sales process audits.
  • Uphold ethical sales practices and transparency in all deals.

  • Product & Brand Knowledge

  • Stay updated with the latest model features, specs, and pricing.

  • Train the team on new vehicle launches and competitive advantages.
  • Attend brand training and report updates to staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in automotive dealership operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving team success.
  • High sense of responsibility, professionalism, and integrity.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of automotive retail operations and dealership management systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in reporting and forecasting.
  • Customer-focused mindset and ability to maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
