Fuel Procurement Specialist

Your Role?
Together with the team, your main task will be the procurement of fuels in coordination with the operational teams to make the voyages as economical as possible. This entails purchasing fuels, negotiating with bunker suppliers and assisting the operations department with the delivery of the fuels to our vessels. You will also ensure that all purchases are accurately recorded and administered, enabling the information be used for optimising and guiding departmental operations.
Apart from the above, a large and important share of your employment will revolve around the development of strategies for fuel procurement in the changing fuel and regulatory landscape. You will monitor the new regulations and the company's sustainability strategy and assist in formulating the correct fuel procurement strategy that will create value for our company. To this end, you will be researching the alternative fuels markets, developing a general understanding of sustainability criteria and business opportunities.
You will build and maintain relationships with the suppliers and visit conferences in order to stay in touch with the market.
