Sales Assistant Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the Sales Team in day-to-day operations, including preparing quotations, proposals, and product presentations for packaging materials and solutions.
  • Coordinate with clients to handle inquiries, provide product information (cartons, plastics, labels, sustainable packaging, etc.), and follow up on orders.
  • Process sales documents such as purchase orders, contracts, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain and update customer records in the sales database/CRM to track leads, opportunities, and transactions.
  • Assist in market research by gathering information on competitors, pricing trends, and new packaging technologies.
  • Prepare sales reports (weekly/monthly) for management review, highlighting sales performance and pipeline status.
  • Coordinate with production, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery of packaging products.
  • Handle sample requests by arranging product samples and ensuring clients receive them promptly.
  • Provide after-sales support by addressing client concerns, complaints, or feedback.
  • Support in trade shows, client visits, and product demonstrations to showcase packaging innovations and solutions.
  • Monitor inventory levels of fast-moving packaging items and coordinate replenishment.

Sales Assistant Job Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 1 year of B2B sales experience, preferably in packaging solutions industry or related field.
  • Established network within target industries (e.g., restaurants, cafe)
  • Excellent communication skills with a client-centric approach and the ability to present tailored proposals confidently.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, organized, and adaptable with a strong focus on results.
  • Ability to analyze market data and use insights to adjust sales strategies.
