Job Description Summary:

S3 is seeking a
Senior Application Engineer
with hands-on expertise in Azure-based cloud-native development, digital payment systems, loyalty, and mobile systems for end-to-end solution delivery across Loyalty, Mobile, and Fleet platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for troubleshooting and high-level development and configuration, who may later be required to step in IT Project Management.
  • You will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. In this role, you will perform detailed functional requirements gathering, technical analysis, and system design to support both internally developed and vendor-based software solutions.
  • You will manage and work collaboratively with Application Engineers, cross-functional teams and software vendors/third-party contractors to evaluate new software options, prioritize technical requirements based on business impact, and ensure the delivery of robust, high-quality systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 3-5+ years' experience with technical and/or business knowledge in Payment processing systems, Payment messaging, regulatory compliance (PCI DSS), and understanding of various payment methods (credit/debit cards, digital wallets, etc.) or fleet, mobile, or loyalty applications for retail products.
  • Strong experience in managing project rollout/execution.
  • Skilled in designing and implementing cloud-native solutions using a wide stack of Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, among others.
  • Experience with data integration, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  • Skilled in evaluating technology and product options, and modern trade-off analysis for various architecture and design choices.
  • Ability to tailor business processes to adapt to application functionality and processes.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement; proactively collaborates with external and internal customers.
  • Experience managing stakeholders, 3rd party support and vendors.
