Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Application Support Engineer with strong development skills to join our team. This role is a hybrid between support and development, with a heavier emphasis on coding (Python or Java). You'll play a key role in maintaining, enhancing, and troubleshooting applications, while ensuring smooth operations across different time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide application support for internal and external systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Develop and maintain scripts, tools, or small features primarily in Python (Java experience also acceptable).
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents or escalate as needed.
  • Collaborate with global teams to support applications across multiple regions and time zones.
  • Participate in release management, deployments, and post-production validation.
  • Document processes, solutions, and best practices for knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong programming experience in Python (Java is a plus).
  • Familiarity with application support or production support environments.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or alignment with other country time zones when required.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Exposure to DevOps tools (CI/CD, monitoring, logging).
  • Experience with SQL or databases.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or incident management tools (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.).
