The incumbent manages and directs the daily activities, of the shift assigned associates, and ensures the efficient operation of the whole Institution, strict monitoring of the compliance, of all areas of operation, to the established KRA of the whole FME, during particular shift assignment. Plans, formulates, implements, monitors and evaluates applied Department policies and procedures. Manages effectively daily operations and ongoing projects of the department, within the shift, ensuring that costs are within budget, delivery and execution on time. Ensures implementation and maintenance of safety programs. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and works cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.

Job Description:

  • Reviews continuously operational schedules to ensure that they are adequate for operational needs and to consistently perform according to standards.

  • Participates in the pre-fire plan program and participates in the hospital wide fire exit drills and provides recommendations on evacuation procedures.

  • Accounts for and tracks firefighting personnel at fire and hazardous materials incident scenes.

  • Assists in the preparation of the FME Group's annual operational plan and budget, incorporating the operational plans of Shift Work and other items related to shift operation.

  • Evaluates program performance and develops interventions strategies where appropriate.

  • Develops operating standards, implements, maintains and updates policies, procedures and regulations relevant to the area of responsibility and group functionality.

  • Submits weekly accomplishment and project status report; Ensures proper documentation of records , reports and statistics for planning and decision making purposes and budget

  • Oversees and directs the assessment and repair of natural or man- made damages to structure and systems or its malfunction that is critical to operations. Oversees hospital wide facility operation on a 24/7.

  • Reports any incident or problem, which affects Medical Center operations and provides courses of action to be taken.

  • Coordinates, oversees and evaluates fire and life safety programs and other special projects.

  • Responds to all major emergency incidents, make assessment and if necessary, assumes command

  • Monitors utilities consumption, repairs and maintenance activity and other activities covered by the Shift Work.

  • Monitors and evaluates renovation/upgrade requests in coordination with Facilities Management & Engineering Project Leads

  • Ensure utilities are available 24/7 and all equipment are 100% reliable thru proper coordination/reporting and escalation of concerns to respective section managers.

  • Reduction of leaks thru continuous leak mapping activity and on time reporting thru GAJ.

  • All technical and incident report related to facilities should be reported within 24 hours.

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of B.S. Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

  • At least 3-5 years' experience as Engineering Supervisory position in building maintenance and/or major construction projects.

  • Preferably DOLE Accredited Safety Practitioner.

  • At least 3 years' experience in Occupational Health and Safety and Facility Management and Safety Management

  • Willing to work on shifting schedule
