A multinational technology company is looking for a Japanese Bilingual Data Engineer – Data Integration who will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and integration solutions.. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about transforming data into valuable insights that drive smarter business decisions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in Japan and the Philippines, ensuring smooth communication and efficient data management between systems and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data integration workflows and ETL processes.
  • Work closely with Japanese and English-speaking teams to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
  • Manage and optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Integrate data from various sources such as APIs, databases, and external platforms.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across systems.
  • Monitor data processes and troubleshoot any issues in real-time.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for data models and integration architecture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
  • Fluent in Japanese (JLPT N2 or higher) and English – able to communicate effectively with Japanese counterparts.
  • 1–3 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Integration Specialist, or related role.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data integration tools (e.g. Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, or similar).
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php140, Php180,000.00 per month
