Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and enforce occupational health and safety (OSH) Policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessment, job hazard analyses, and recommend preventive measures.
  • Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near misses, prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with government safety regulations and company policies. (DOLE)
  • Conduct safety orientations, toolboox talks, and training programs for employees and subcontractors.
  • Monitor workplace conditions and conduct regular safety inspections/audits
  • Maintain accurate safety records, permits, and certifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers and supervisors to promote safe practices in operations and project site.
  • Develop Emergency response plans and lead drills to ensure preparedness.
  • Serve as primary contact for all safety related issues and coordinate with regulatory agencies as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field.
  • at least 5 years or more experience as a Safety Officer and 3 years in Managerial role.
  • Must be a holder of Safety Officer 3 or Safety Officer 4 accreditation.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, laws and best practices.

  • ability to work under pressure and manager multiple priorities.
