About the Role:
The Operations & Business Development Manager plays a critical role in ensuring Butter Socials operates efficiently while supporting the agency's growth. This position oversees internal operations, hiring, payroll coordination, and client acquisition. You will work closely with the Founder to strengthen internal systems, scale the team, and help bring in new clients—bridging structure and growth in a fast-paced creative agency environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day agency operations, workflows, and internal processes
- Implement and improve SOPs, systems, and internal documentation
- Lead hiring efforts, onboarding, and role coordination across teams
- Oversee payroll preparation, contractor payments, and admin coordination
- Support business development through outreach, referrals, and partnerships
- Assist in preparing proposals, decks, and client onboarding materials
- Maintain client relationships and identify growth or upsell opportunities
- Track operations health, staffing needs, and sales pipelines
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in operations, business development, or agency management
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Comfortable working across operations, people management, and client-facing roles
- Experience in a marketing agency, startup, or service-based business is a plus
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven
