Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Credentialing & Operations Coordinator to support our healthcare operations team. This role is responsible for managing provider credentialing processes, maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating with health plans and IPAs, and supporting operational and compliance-related tasks.
The ideal candidate has prior experience in healthcare credentialing or operations, is comfortable working with large datasets, and can manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain provider credentialing files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date
- Submit credentialing and re-credentialing applications to health plans and IPAs
- Track credentialing timelines to ensure compliance and timely completion
- Follow up with payers, IPAs, and external partners regarding credentialing status
- Assist with operational tasks, reporting, and documentation management
- Organize and manage large volumes of provider data with high accuracy
- Serve as a point of contact for internal teams and external partners
- Support audits and compliance-related reporting
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field, or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in credentialing, healthcare operations, or administrative support preferred
- Experience using Availity required; CAQH experience preferred
- Familiarity with MedTrainer is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft tools (including shared Outlook mailboxes)
- Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setup
Reporting Line
- Reports directly to the Credentialing & Operations Supervisor

Compensation & Benefits

Important Note
This is a long-term remote position offered under an Independent Contractor agreement.
- Candidates must provide their own equipment and maintain a reliable internet connection
- Contractors are responsible for managing their own taxes and benefits
Payments are made bi-monthly (twice a month)
