Job Summary:

The Internal Auditor Officer – Civil Engineer is responsible for conducting technical and compliance audits on all civil engineering, construction, and infrastructure-related projects within the organization. This role ensures that projects comply with design specifications, engineering standards, safety regulations, budget allocations, and contractual obligations. The position combines technical expertise in civil engineering with auditing skills to evaluate the quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Audit Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement audit plans for civil works, infrastructure, and facilities projects.
  • Review and verify project documents, contracts, and technical specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety requirements.

2. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all projects adhere to government regulations, industry standards, and internal company policies.
  • Identify potential risks, irregularities, and deviations from approved plans or budgets.
  • Recommend corrective measures and follow up on their implementation.

3. Technical Evaluation

  • Assess quality of materials, workmanship, and engineering practices used in projects.
  • Validate project cost estimates, billing statements, and change orders.
  • Check for structural soundness, durability, and alignment with design parameters.

4. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports with findings, analyses, and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized audit records for reference and compliance purposes.
  • Present audit results to management and relevant departments.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Assist in developing policies, procedures, and standards to improve project efficiency and quality.
  • Provide technical input for enhancing internal controls in project management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Licensed Civil Engineer required).
  • Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of experience in construction, project management, or engineering audits.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
  • Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of auditing principles and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant engineering software (AutoCAD, etc.).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php25, Php35,000.00 per month
