Renewable Energy Director

Market Line: Renewable, Energy, Environment & Water (RENEW)

Our client, a leading global multidisciplinary engineering and project management consultancy, is seeking a highly experienced Renewable Energy Director to lead and expand its renewable energy business across the Philippines and the Asia-Pacific region.

This senior leadership position will be responsible for driving strategy, business development, and project execution in wind, solar, hydropower, and other renewable energy initiatives, ensuring technical excellence and sustainable growth.


Key Responsibilities
  • Define and implement the company's renewable energy strategy to strengthen market position and drive business growth.
  • Lead business development efforts, build strong client relationships, and develop a robust project pipeline in the renewable energy sector.
  • Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle—from planning and tendering to execution and completion—ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and risks to ensure profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of renewable energy professionals.
  • Collaborate closely with regional offices on technical and business development initiatives.
  • Engage with clients, government bodies, and key industry stakeholders to foster partnerships and new opportunities.
  • Serve as a technical advisor when required, providing expert consultancy on renewable energy solutions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the energy industry, with at least 7 years in renewable energy project management, engineering, or business development.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale renewable projects (wind, solar, or hydropower).
  • Strong understanding of Philippine renewable energy policies, regulations, and standards.
  • Strategic leader with excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen with experience in project budgeting and cost control.
  • Willing to travel to various project sites as required.
  • Preference for expatriate professionals (French or Australian) with regional experience; qualified Filipino candidates are also encouraged to apply.
