Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll while maintaining strict confidentiality and adherence to internal controls. This role will also involve frequent work with Excel-based data, so advanced proficiency is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, validate and process employee payroll accurately and on schedule
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any employee-related payroll concerns
  • Maintain payroll records and support payroll reporting requirements
  • Work closely with HR and Finance to ensure alignment of data and proper deductions
  • Assist in troubleshooting and improving payroll templates and formulas using Excel
  • Provide support for audits and compliance reviews as required

Required Qualifications

  • Proven above-average proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Must be comfortable with LOOKUP, IF, nested formulas, and error-checking
  • Completion of a timed Excel proficiency test is required
  • Ability to create, analyze, and troubleshoot complex Excel formulas and functions
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, time management, and basic math skills
  • Capable of working independently and managing tasks with minimal supervision
  • Highly adaptable and flexible in a dynamic work environment

Preferred (but not required)

  • Previous experience in payroll or accounting
  • Familiarity with local tax and benefits computations

Work Setup/Arrangement

  • Manila-based applicants will be considered if they demonstrate strong alignment with the role's requirements. Work setup will be remote-based, but they should be amenable for an Onsite training as well (1 month).
