What You'll Do in This Role

Be part of our client's team as an AI Engineer, where you craft intelligent automation solutions for enterprise IT. You'll design dynamic conversational flows, integrate backend systems, analyze performance, and collaborate with international teams, ensuring virtual agents deliver impactful, efficient, and reliable experiences across customer and IT operations.

What You Need to Qualify

• 2-4 years of experience in software engineering or conversational AI development
• Solid understanding of Dialogflow CX (not just ES), including flow-based architecture and state management
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and system integrations
• Ability to debug and optimize conversational flows based on user behavior and logs
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
• Exhibit fluency in English and engage confidently with clients directly

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with other conversational platforms (e.g., Amazon Lex)
• Strong foundation in Natural Language Processing (NLP), including training and fine-tuning custom language models
• Solid understanding of generative AI principles, including effective prompt engineering and implementing responsible guardrails
• Knowledge of the Five9 VCC contact center platform

Your Impact in This Position

• Build and deploy Intelligent Virtual Agents (IVAs) and chatbots using Five9 Studio 7's no-code interface flows using Dialogflow CX (including intents, entities, pages, and fulfillment logic) and generative AI solutions (such as ChatGPT and other)Design conversation flows using drag-and-drop tasks, templates, and custom logic
• Design conversational flows using drag-and-drop tasks, prebuilt templates, and custom logic
• Integrate IVAs with backend systems via APIs, CRM platforms, and databases
• Configure escalation paths to live agents with full context transfer
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define use cases, user journeys, and KPIs
• Lead discovery meetings, define technical requirements, and design IVA/DVA architectures aligned with customer objectives and operational constraints
• Monitor IVA performance, analyze logs, and optimize flows for accuracy and engagement
• Support omnichannel deployment across voice, web chat, SMS, and social messaging
• Document workflows and maintain version control for ongoing enhancements
• Engage directly with clients, ensuring clarity and alignment on technical solutions
