MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair tasks to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all building systems, infrastructure, and general facilities within a manufacturing environment. This includes upkeep of utilities, HVAC systems, plumbing, lighting, and minor structural works. The role ensures that the manufacturing site remains compliant with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards while minimizing downtime.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

GENERAL FACILITIES MAINTENANCE

  1. Performs daily inspections and maintenance of facility systems including lighting, plumbing, ventilation, water supply, and building structures.
  2. Responds promptly to facility maintenance requests and work orders across production, office, and common areas.
  3. Conducts minor repairs on doors, walls, floors, ceilings, and fixtures.

UTILITY & EQUIPMENT SUPPORT

  1. Supports the maintenance and monitoring of utility systems including water, compressed air, electrical panels, and HVAC.
  2. Assists in basic troubleshooting of facility-related equipment and report issues to the supervisor or external service providers.

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

  1. Follows and execute preventive maintenance plans for facility equipment and infrastructure.
  2. Maintains accurate logs of inspections, repairs, and service records.
  3. Monitors facility conditions and report potential safety or operational risks.

SAFETY, COMPLIANCE & HOUSEKEEPING

  1. Ensures facility operations comply with occupational health and safety (OHS), fire safety, and environmental regulations.
  2. Supports routine inspections by internal or external safety and quality auditors.
  3. Assists in maintaining safe access routes, signage, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting systems.
  4. Upholds cleanliness and order in facility storage areas, maintenance rooms, and exterior grounds.

PROJECT ASSISTANCE

  1. Supports renovation, installation, or relocation projects by preparing areas, moving equipment, or coordinating external contractors.
  2. Assists in planning and executing site improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Technical or vocational training in facility maintenance, building services, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar facilities or general maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to operate power tools, maintenance equipment, and hand tools safely.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and building code compliance.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, climb ladders, and lift up to 25 kg.

WORKING SCHEDULE:

Monday-Saturday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

(may be requested to report as needed)
