Job Summary

An IT Support Associate provides frontline technical assistance to employees or clients, ensuring that computer systems, networks, and software run smoothly. They troubleshoot issues, set up equipment, and maintain IT infrastructure to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support


• Respond to IT-related queries via phone, email, Service Request system or in person


• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues


• Escalate complex problems to higher-level when needed

System Setup & Maintenance


• Install and configure computers, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals


• Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls


• Maintain and update operating systems, applications, and security patches

Network & Security


• Monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN connections


• Ensure compliance with software licensing and IT security policies


• Assist in implementing and maintaining disaster recovery and backup plans

Documentation & Training


• Maintain records of IT assets, repairs, and support requests


• Provide basic training to users on new hardware/software


• Collaborate with vendors for specialized support

Required Skills & Qualifications


• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Active Directory & other Software tools


• Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)


• Problem-solving and analytical skills


• Excellent communication and customer service abilities


• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field (preferred, but not required)


• Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, etc.) are a plus
