Accounting and Finance Team Leader

Key Responsibilities

  1. Team Leadership & Supervision

Lead, mentor, and supervise the accounting and finance team.

Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion of deliverable. Conduct regular team huddle and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.

  1. Financial Reporting & Analysis

Assist Chief Accountant/CFO in preparation of financial statements. Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules.

Analyze variances and provide meaningful insights for management decisions.

  1. Budgeting & Forecasting

Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts. Coordinate with department heads to gather relevant budgeting data. Monitor budget utilization and provide variance reports.

  1. Compliance & Audit

Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. Coordinate with external auditors and provide required documents and explanations.

Review statutory reports (e.g., VAT, withholding tax, BIR filings) before submission.

  1. Process Improvement & Systems

Streamline accounting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. Utilize QuickBooks for accounting, reporting, and financial analysis.

Support system upgrades and digitalization initiatives.

  1. Cash Flow & Treasury Support

Monitor cash flow and assist in managing payables. Coordinate with banks and financial institutions as needed.

  1. Documentation & Record Management

Ensure proper documentation, filing, and safekeeping of all financial records. Maintain organized and updated financial databases and ledgers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

CPA is an advantage but not required.

Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting/finance experience. Experience in team leadership or supervisory role preferred. Proficient in QuickBooks and MS Office applications.

Strong knowledge of local tax regulations and accounting standards. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
