Overview

Join a reputable civil construction company specializing in earthworks, roading, and infrastructure projects. This is a remote part-time role ideal for an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator who thrives on accuracy, attention to detail, and delivering quality cost estimates that drive project success.


Job Highlights

Hourly Rate: Php

Number of Paid Hours Per Week: 20 hours per week

Schedule: Flexible within business hours

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor

Side Note:

Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an Independent Contractor, selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. Professional fees are on hourly rates, which depend on performance during the application process.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for civil construction projects
  • Measure quantities from engineering drawings and specifications
  • Analyse subcontractor and supplier quotes
  • Conduct site visits as required to inform estimates
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients
  • Monitor project costs and variations

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in civil construction estimating
  • Strong knowledge of earthworks, roading, and civil infrastructure
  • Proficient in estimating software (CostX, Candy, or similar)
  • Excellent understanding of NZ/AUS construction standards and methodologies (nice to have)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
