Strategic Staffing Solutions International client – a leading global electronics manufacturer with nearly a century of innovation behind them – is looking for a Tax Compliance Supervisor to oversee and support our Philippine tax compliance and reporting activities. This role will supervise a small team (1–2 staff members) and report directly to the Philippine Tax Manager. The position is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely tax compliance and reporting for all Company's Philippine legal entities.

About the job:

Tax Compliance

Supervise preparation, review, and timely filing/payment of income tax, VAT, withholding, and other Philippine tax returns.

• Monitor compliance and reportorial requirements with BIR, PEZA, BOI, SEC, LGU, and other tax-related government agencies.

• Oversee annual and ad hoc tax requirements, including:

   - Tax treaty relief and refund applications

   - Tax disclosures in annual financial statements

   - PEZA registration of projects

   - Philippine dividend distributions

   - Electronic Invoicing set-up

   - Local taxes (e.g., real property tax)

   - Intercompany agreements and related party transaction supports

• Coordinate with external advisors on Philippine transfer pricing documentation.

• Coordinate and review data collection for US international tax compliance.

Tax Forecasting, Audits, and Other

• Supervise preparation and review of cash tax forecasts for Philippine entities.

• Assist in responding to tax audits with the tax team and auditors.

• Support ad hoc projects related to transactions, integrations, or tax planning initiatives.

Tax Reporting

• Review quarterly and annual tax provisions.

• Complete monthly tax account reconciliations and closings.

• Oversee monthly global operating margin (OM) reports and support intercompany mark-ups as needed.

• Monitor relevant tax updates and present during quarterly calls.

• Coordinate internal and external requests related to tax provision work.

About you:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in tax reporting and compliance.

• Experience preparing tax provisions is an advantage.

• Familiarity with PEZA or similar economic zone compliance is a plus.

• Proficient in standard office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) and document management tools.

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is an advantage.

• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred but not required.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
