  • Food Preparation: Prepare food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and cooking according to the restaurant's menu and recipes. This includes grilling, frying, sautéing, and baking.
  • Station Setup: Set up and stock the cooking station with necessary supplies and ingredients before service begins.
  • Cooking and Plating: Cook food items to order, ensuring that each dish meets quality and presentation standards. Plate dishes attractively for service.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, including cleaning cooking surfaces and utensils at the end of the shift.
  • Inventory Management: Perform inventory checks and assist in managing food storage, ensuring that all items are properly labeled and stored.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff, including the head chef and sous chef, to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Culinary Skills: Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods, with a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Time Management: Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and follow instructions from chefs.
