Core Responsibilities

The General Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role involves processing transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and supporting audit activities to ensure smooth financial process for multiple legal entities.

  • Record and process daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
  • Reconcile bank statements and management accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  • Prepare financial reports and statements in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Monitor and analyze account activity to identify discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records and files.
  • Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting procedures and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and resolve accounting issues.

Candidates Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Experience in accounting and financial management, fresh graduates are welcome for this role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations framework
  • Familiarity in QuickBooks, Xero, and other accounting tools, and MS Office Suite
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work as part of a team to manage priorities
